US Presidential Candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr Considers Aaron Rodgers and Jesse Ventura as VP Running Mates

US presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr is making waves with his potential vice-presidential running mates, American football star Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura. The campaign has confirmed that these two prominent figures are on the shortlist for the position, but the final decision will be announced on 26 March.

Kennedy, a member of America’s iconic political family, is running as an independent and is focusing on key principles such as restoring the middle class, ending the chronic disease epidemic, and unraveling corporate capture of government agencies. His previous challenge for the Democratic Party’s nomination was hindered by his vaccine-sceptical views, leading him to launch an independent bid last October.

Rodgers, a star quarterback for the New York Jets, has faced criticism for his anti-vaccine views and controversial statements. Despite being injured last season, he has vowed to return to the game in 2024. Ventura, a former governor of Minnesota and professional broadcaster, has hinted at re-entering the political arena after hosting a show on RT America.

The campaign has also reached out to other potential candidates, including Andrew Yang, Tulsi Gabbard, Rand Paul, Scott Brown, and Tony Robbins, but most did not progress further. With ballot access rules varying across states, the Kennedy campaign has qualified in four states so far.

As the anticipation builds for Kennedy’s official announcement of his running mate, the political landscape is sure to see some interesting developments in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on this intriguing presidential race.
